DraftKings has inked a deal with The Madison Square Garden (MSG) to become one of the venue’s Signature Partners, a distinction which will allow it to integrate its brand with the arena’s sports teams and entertainers, across a variety of mediums.
The partnership will make DraftKings the Official Daily Fantasy Partner of the New York Knicks, Rangers, Liberty and Westchester Knicks, all of which use the MSG as a homebase. While DraftKings does not currently offer contests on women’s basketball, it will nonetheless display its logo on the New York Liberty women’s team home and away uniforms.
“The Madison Square Garden Company’s outstanding lineup of world-renowned teams and properties makes this an ideal partnership for us,” said DraftKings CEO Jason Robins.
In addition, DraftKings will open its own fantasy lounge at the arena this fall, where fans can learn to play daily fantasy sports and make real money bets. “DraftKings is a leader in daily fantasy sports and has been at the forefront of offering fans new ways to connect with their favorite teams and players on a nightly basis,” said Ron Skotarczak, VP of marketing partnerships at the MSG.
DraftKings will enjoy a year-round presence at the arena and be featured prominently on the large video boards placed throughout the venue. Its brand will also be displayed on digital and static signage, like the GardenVision multimedia display and appear on courtside branding for Knicks, Liberty and Westchester Knicks home games.
Much like its partnership with Major League Baseball, DraftKings will leverage its deep integration with the venue to offer fans unique, one-of-a-kind experiences.
With the deal, DraftKings joins other industries Signature Partners such as Coca-Cola, Delta Air Lines, Kia, Lexus and SAP.
